Barbara Cooper

Services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon, Texas with Dr. Roger Hubbard, pastor of Lake Tanglewood Community Church, officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery, Canyon, Texas. Barbara Ann Cooper was born on June 1, 1928 in Parsons, Kansas to Dr. Crannell and Della Mae Tolliver. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, Michigan and attended Amarillo College and West Texas State College. She married Neil Cooper on August 17, 1947 and they lived in Canyon, Hereford and Lake Tanglewood communities. She worked as a nurse and held a private pilots license. She was a member of Lake Tanglewood Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff and nurses at Silverado Senior Living - Cypresswood, Houston, Texas for their assistance and care during the past five years. Survivors include her brother, Brian Lee Tolliver; three children, James B. Cooper and wife, Pam, of Spring, Texas, Dr. Patricia Ann Cooper and husband, Joe, of Houston, Texas, and David N. Cooper and wife, Lynn, of Lubbock, Texas; five granchildren, James Cameron Cooper, Regan Matthew Cooper, Tara Faye Fogerson and husband, Shaun, John Derek Cooper, and Bria Ann Cooper; and two great grandchildren, Avery Faith Bailey and Jake Fogerson.
