Audrey Taylor, 83, of Canyon, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022.

Memorial services for Kim and Audrey Taylor will be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Amarillo with Pastor Leah Lawson, officiating.

Audrey McAllister Moyer Taylor born August 12, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She lived in suburban Philadelphia graduating from Lansdowne High School in 1956. While working in downtown Philadelphia, she took up fencing at the YMCA and met the love of her life, Kim E. Taylor, whom she married in December 1962. Audrey was an office secretary in Blue Ridge Summit, PA while her husband was in the U.S. Army. They came to Texas in 1967; first to Fort Worth then Denton and finally settled in Canyon in 1969. She finished a B.S. at West Texas State University and went on to receive a masters in Speech. She then worked as a speech therapist, serving the Amarillo Independent School District for 30 years.

She was a life-long Lutheran, enjoyed volunteering, family, old friends, old films, reading, walking, dogs and more.

Audrey was a member of the American Association of University Women, Church Women United, Friends of Palo Duro, and the Panhandle Archeological Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kim Taylor, parents, Mary and Charles Moyer, brothers, Franklin Charles Moyer and Jerry McCarten Moyer, as well as sisters-in-law, Eveline and Delores; also 12 cousins, nephew, John, and dear great-niece, Liz.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and their children.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Salvation Army, PO Box 2490, Amarillo, TX 79105.
