Archie Davis

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 13, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Enns, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Wayside Cemetery. Archie Dean Davis was born December 6, 1933 in Canyon to Archie and Bessie Davis. He married Peggy Shero on July 2, 1953 in Canyon. He was member of the First United Methodist Church and the Randall County Sheriff's Posse. Archie was the best husband ever, and a wonderful father and Pawpaw. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Fay Ward and Shorty Davis; and a brother, Donald Ray Davis. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Peggy Davis, of the home; daughter, Connie Davis, of the home; granddaughter, Nikki Dressler and husband, Harold, of Canyon; grandson, Kip Bolding and wife, Sarah, of Sterling City; seven great grandchildren, Christian, Jordan, Maddison, Wyatt, Casey, Mason, Brady; two sisters, Sue Davis, Winnie Caldwell, both of Canyon; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
