Annis Marie Patton, 97, of Canyon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Dreamland Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the University Church of Christ in Canyon with Jon Page, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Brooks Chapel.
Annis was born on December 22, 1927 in Langley, Arkansas to Jesse and Norman (Laramore) Miller. She married the love of her life William Arthur 'Pat' Patton on August 28, 1947, and they celebrated 67 wonderful years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 6, 2015.
Annis was very proud of her 30-year service with Meals on Wheels in Canyon, and always willing to volunteer her time, she was also a Pink Lady for Palo Duro Hospital. On January 30, 2023, Annis was crowned Queen of SkyWest.
Annis is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Dale Miller and Allie Miller.
Survivors include her daughters, Janis Barnett and husband, Leldon 'Don', Debbie Kelly and husband, John, and Marsha Smith and husband, Denis; five grandchildren, Crystal Pillow, Billy Bob Barnett, Brent McClain, Katie McClain, and Nicholas Smith and wife, Aja; seven great grandchildren; six great, great grandchildren; one brother, J.A. 'Arkie' Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Lonnie, Tiffany, Kenzie, LaDonna and all the ladies at SkyWest Assisted Living by Shaw who cared for Annis for the past several years. They would also like to thank BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their care and her University Church of Christ family for all of their love, care, and support.
