Anna Erwin

Services will be at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 21,2015 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Rick Enns, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Anna Ruth Erwin was born on September 24, 1922 in Canyon to William and Anna Knecht Schmitz. She was a graduate of Canyon High School. She married Kenneth Erwin in Canyon on August 20, 1941, and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2011. She was a partner in the farm, working alongside Kenneth and was able to fix anything. Anna Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Canyon. She enjoyed china painting, her flowers, and was a fantastic seamstress. She loved babies, especially her own grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jarni Jean Breitling. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Sides and husband, Dale, of Fairview, OK and Karen Breitling and husband, Don, of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Wendi Neff and husband, Bart, of Lake Jackson, TX, Kiley Breitling and wife, Sherlai, of Salem, OR, Kari Kelton and husband, Chadd, of Canadian, Brady Breitling and wife, Mylissa, of Amarillo, D'Lee Cook and husband, Nathan, of Midland, and Cayla Stevens and husband, Bryan, of Sharon, OK; fifteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and for their loving care and devotion, Brenda Christy and Jackie of Comfort Cottage. The family suggests memorials be to the First United Methodist Church, 1818 4th Avenue, Canyon, Texas 79015.
