Alex Lindt, 96, of Canyon, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Denver City Memorial Park in Denver City with Rev. Brett Hoyle, pastor of First Baptist Church of Friona, officiating.
Alex was born on January 20, 1924 in Kendrick, Colorado to August and Annie Grassmick Lindt. He worked as an auto mechanic and service manager for Short and Field Chevrolet in Denver City, Jack Hamilton Tire Company, and Yoakum County. Alex loved spending time with his family while fishing, camping and water skiing.
Alex is preceded in death by his nine siblings and two wives, Virginia and Jean. Survivors include his son, Jerry Lindt and wife, Donna of Kingsland; his daughter, Alexia Criswell and husband, David of Clarendon; three grandchildren, Jerry Lindt, Jr. of Kingsland, Jennifer Nix and husband, Trent of The Colony, and Becca Kinikin of Canyon; four great grandchildren, Cara and Michael Nix and baby Nix on the way, of The Colony and Sloan and Jude Kinikin of Canyon; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
