Albert V. Read, 92, of Canyon, died Friday, May 3, 2002. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 6, 2002 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Rev. Clark Williams, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. First United Methodist Church of Canyon. He was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Burns. Survivors include his wife, Anna Overton Read, of the home; one son, Lee Read, and wife, Barbara, of Amarillo; one daughter, Margie Chapman, and husband, Chapy, of Canyon; two sisters, Edna Haskins, of Tehuacana, TX, and Jane Keller, of Arlington, TX; three grandchildren, Lisa Boehning, and husband, Shawn, of Umbarger, Jeremy Read, and wife, Amber Nicole, of Canyon, and Robin Bauerle, of Amarillo; and five great The family suggests memorials be to the Veterans Association.
