Acie Boyd

Acie Dell Boyd, 88, of Happy, died Monday, April 1, 2002. Services will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at the First United Methodist Church of Happy, with Rev. Curtis House, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Happy Cemetery, Happy, Texas. Acie Dell Boyd was born on December 2, 1913 at Snyder, Texas. She attended school at Snyder and graduated in 1932. She married Copus Boyd in 1937 at Snyder, where they made their home until 1947. They then bought a home east of Happy and lived there for forty years. She moved into Happy after the death of Copus in 1981. She was active in her church and community. Survivors include one daughter, Judy Thompson, of Happy; one grandson, Roy Dee Thompson, one granddaughter, Jobeth White; and six great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Lord's Acre of Happy United Methodist Church, PO Box 343 Happy, Texas 79042.
