G. Max Troub, 79, of Canyon passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 8 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Steve Olsen, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at Brooks Chapel.
Max was born July 23, 1938 to John and Gladys Troub in Carnegie, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Animal Husbandry.
He was a former sales executive at Cargill, Excel, IBP, and MBPXL. He had a long career in the cattle and agriculture industry before settling in Canyon. He was best known locally as being part owner of Cope’s Coney Island.
Max was a lifetime alumni member of the Animal Science College at Oklahoma State University.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Martha V. Joyce; son, Craig Troub; and two brothers, Don and Leon Troub.
Survivors include his daughter, Wendy Mountain and husband, Stuart of Canyon and their children, Daniel, Amanda, John, Alan, Star, Nisa, Andromeda, and Lizzett; son, James Troub and wife, Melissa of Omaha, Nebraska and their children, Sarah and Ryan; brother, Bill Troub of Carnegie, Oklahoma and a sister, Aletha Duke of Carnegie, Oklahoma.
