Obituary for YVONNE MARIE MILLER

Memorial service will be at 5 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2006, at Baptist St. Anthony"s Hospice Chapel, with Father Jose Mangulabnan officiating. Born December 6, 1949, Yvonne lived her life as a kind-hearted friend to all. Born as the second oldest of seven siblings, Yvonne naturally had a spontaneous, unique personality all her own. Yvonne was a graduate of Canyon High School. She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, animals, cooking and traveling. Yvonne has lived in Colorado; Houston, Texas; Oklahoma and New Mexico, but spent the last decade living near her family in Amarillo. She was always a good friend, a hip aunt, a funny sister and a treasure hunter. Yvonne had compassion for everyone she met. She loved her friends and family, and they loved her.She was preceded in death by her parents Ernestine and A.R. "Pee Wee" Friemel. Survivors include her son Sean Robert Whalen of Virginia, and her special companion Bud Knight of Amarillo; her four brothers, Kenneth Friemel and wife June of Canyon; David Friemel and wife Jama of Amarillo; Bryan Friemel and wife Darla of Amarillo; Jay Friemel and wife Cyndy of Canyon; and two sisters, Gwen Urioste and husband Jim of Amarillo; Pam McMurtry and husband Ty of Amarillo; and numerous nephews, nieces, family members and special friends. The family requests memorial be sent to BSA Hospice, 600 North Tyler, Amarillo, TX 79107.
