Obituary for WILMA JO LOVEN

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Brooks Chapel with Shane Nease, pastor of Living Water Christian Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Wilma Jo Loven was born on October 28, 1930 in Carter, Oklahoma to Thomas and Iva Cox Lane. She married Mitchell Luther Newkirk in Wheeler in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1968. She married Pete Loven in Canyon in 1970. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bobbie Jean Lane and Doris Sasser, two brothers, Jay and R. T. Lane, and one grandson, Christopher Martin. She worked as a waitress and in the custodial department at W.T.S.U. for many years. She loved the Lord and was a long time member of Grace Baptist Church. Wilma loved people, loved to cook and sew, and will be remembered as the best Mom in the world. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Lewis and husband, Henry, of Red River, NM, and Angela Mott and husband, Glenn, of Salinas, CA; two sons, Tommy Newkirk and Mitchell Newkirk, Jr. and wife, Kathy, all of Red River, NM; a sister, Norma Lee Warren, of Idaho Falls, ID; a brother, Larry Lane, of Foster City, CA; six grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
