Obituary for WILLIAM W. FORESTER

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Triumphant Truth Church, 1701 S. Manhattan, Amarillo, with Dr. Alberta Helton, pastor, officiating. William W. Forester was born on August 31, 1935 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to William and Ellen Davis Forester. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, was a member of the Honor Guard and served in the Korean War. William married Lea Clausen on January 29, 1975 in Amarillo. He was hard working and very talented. He worked in the body shop, was a carpenter and was a great musician, having played with Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash. He was a member of Triumphant Truth Church. William was crazy about all of his great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Monte Forester, and four sisters. Survivors include his wife, Lea; son, Billy Forester; daughter, Christi Peace; three stepsons, Arlyn Scholz and wife, Corinda, Richard Scholz and wife, Stephanie, and Terry Scholz; two stepdaughters, Cindy Anderson and Susan Hartley and husband, Mike; three brothers, Lonnie, Randy, and Ronnie Forester; two sisters, Anna Lee Porter and Retha Bruce and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Triumphant Truth Church Benevolence Fund, PO Box 51732, Amarillo, Texas 79159.
