Obituary for WAYNE TROUT

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Six, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating. Wayne Trout was born on May 17, 1925 to Everett and Verna Collins Trout in Cottle, Texas. He married Jeannine Merrick on April 5, 1955 at Tucumcari, New Mexico. He attended West Texas State University. In 1943, he joined the U.S. Navy. During WWII, he was stationed in the Pacific. Wayne was a past Master of the Canyon Masonic Lodge. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Blue Lodge. Wayne was a Pantex retiree, where he worked as an electrician. Before working at Pantex, Wayne worked in electrical maintenance at West Texas A&M University for 17 years. He loved western swing, hunting, fishing, and spending time making his yard look pretty. Survivors include his wife, Jeannine Trout, of the home; brother-in-law, Rex Merrick and wife, Lee, of Humble, TX; sister-in-law, Loretta Spaulding, of Lewisville, TX; cousin, Barbara Sprouse and husband, Jim, of Amarillo, and numerous other cousins.
