Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Summit with Shane Nease, minister of Living Water Christian Fellowship, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, March 10, 2008 at Silverton Cemetery in Silverton, Texas. Virginia Maples was born on February 15, 1940 in Claude, TX to Marvin and Katherine Kitzler Stephens. In 1958, she graduated from high school in House, New Mexico. She also graduated from Draughon"s Business College in Lubbock. Virginia married Dyrle Maples on September 4, 1959 in Silverton, TX. She was employed by WTA&M University, and recently retired on January 15, 2008. She was a past president and treasurer for the W.T. Women. She was a member of the Summit in Canyon. Virginia Maples is survived by her husband, Dyrle Maples, of Canyon; a daughter, Julie Stauffer, of Bulverde, TX; two sons, Steve Maples and wife, Nancy, of El Campo, TX, and Mike Maples, of Moffit, North Dakota; ten grandchildren, Chris Maples, Katherine Maples, Adriane Stauffer, Zachary Stauffer, Marsie Stauffer, Danny Stauffer, Michelle Stauffer, Austin Maples, Caitlin Maples, and Sierra Maples; and her mother, Katherine Stephens, of Tulia.
