Obituary for Viola Pearl Mosher

Viola Pearl Mosher, 84, of Happy, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018.  Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Brooks Chapel with Darren Dye officiating.  Burial will be in Happy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Brooks Chapel. Viola was born on February 4, 1934 in Selfridge, ND to Elmer and Frances Lane Dutton.  She married John Thomas Mosher on February 16, 1950 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  John served in the Air Force for 22 years and Viola was his devoted supporter.  They lived in Waxahachie from 1970 to 2001, when they moved to Happy.  She and John volunteered for the RV Ministry through the Assemblies of God and were long time supporters of Freedom Fellowship Church.  She worked as a bookkeeper in the banking industry for many years and was a wonderful housewife and mother.  Viola was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dean Dutton and Ray Munyon, and two grandsons, Eric Minter and Jackson Dylan Mosher. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, John Mosher; four children, Virginia Minter and husband, Michael, Karen Brown and husband, Ernie, Robert (Bob) Mosher and wife, Sofia, and Colleen Chandler and husband, Kenny; fifteen grandchildren, Chris and Angie Taylor, Scott and Angela Taylor, Marces and Cassidi Minter, Thomas and Annelise Minter, Maria and Chance McMillan, Tricia Stroud, Joseph Minter, Becky Minter, Debi Minter, Cindy and Donnie Williams, Matthew and Bianca Brown, DeeAnne and Se’an Maxwell, Andrew (Drew) and Sheyanne Brown, Karli and Trey George, and Kellie and Jonathan Morris; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Freedom Fellowship Building Fund, 55 Hunsley Road, Canyon, TX 79015.
