Vikki Lynn Kotara, 50, of Canyon joined her heavenly Father on Monday, October 28, 2019. Services will be 4:00 P.M. Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Hillside Christian Church West Campus Chapel with Pastor Trae Sweatt and Pastor Blake Moore, officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 30 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Vikki was born on April 11, 1969 to Howard and Carol Ann Kruska Terry in Canyon. She graduated from River Road High School and attended West Texas A&M University. On May 20, 1995, she married Rick Kotara in Amarillo. She worked at Reeves Hinger Elementary School as a Physical Education Aide. She was a member of Hillside Christian Church. Vikki cared about everyone. She was courageous. She was a fighter. She was a wonderful wife, a great mom and loved her two fur babies. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George Washington Terry, Vera Florene Terry and O.C. Kruska. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Rick Kotara; daughter, Kalysta Kotara; parents, Howard and Carol Ann Terry of Blair, OK; brother, Nick Terry and wife Carrah of Altus, OK; grandmother, Flora Mae Kruska of Altus, OK; brother-in-law, Randy Kotara and wife Kristell of Amarillo; numerous aunts and uncles; two nephews and eight nieces and their children.
