Obituary for Vicki Ann Bishop
Vicki Ann Bishop, 76, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Vicki was born on October 22, 1946 in Oakland, California to Virgil and Velma (Smith) Barbee. She received two master’s degrees in nursing and taught nursing for a time in California. She worked as a Registered Nurse at San Antonio Community Hospital for many years before becoming the director of Home Health Care in California.
Vicki enjoyed reading, working puzzles, watching game and dancing shows, and was obsessed with anything Disney. She loved her family and adored her pups, Lola and Tango.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, her Uncle Vern, her Aunt Violet, and her best friend, Rose.
Survivors include two sons, Ken Stewart and wife, Stephanie of Bushland and Jason Bishop and wife, Katie of Hixson, TN; six grandchildren, Justen Stewart and wife, Maddie of San Antonio, Dylen Stewart and wife, Markie of Lake Elsinore, CA, William Stewart of Lake Elsinore, CA, Kacey Williams and wife, Samantha of Canyon, Sydnee Stewart and fiancé, J.D. Peterson of Bushland, and Keylin Stewart of Bushland; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis Barbee and Steve Barbee and wife, Brooke, all of Alta Loma, CA; her longtime friend, Arthur Rice of Dallas; and her forever best friend, Bev Fulton and husband, Stan of Alta Loma, CA.
