Obituary for TREVOR WADE BURRELL

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Canyon, with Rev. David Lowrie, pastor, and Ricky Griffin, pastor of Grace Fellowship Church of Borger, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery with Chaplain Terry Callis officiating. Trevor Wade Burrell was born on February 27, 1985 in Canyon, Texas. He graduated from Canyon High School in 2003 and enlisted in the U. S. Army on July 22, 2003. He completed his Basic Training at Ft. Benning, Georgia and was assigned overseas to Camp Casey, South Korea from November of 2003 to November of 2004. He received numerous awards while in the military. Upon his return from Korea, he was assigned to Ft. Hood, Texas with the 4th Infantry Division Bravo Co. 1st Batallion 66 Armor. He had recently been promoted to Specialist E 4 and was waiting for deployment overseas to Iraq. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Tina Short, and husband, Roger, of Canyon; his father, Wayne Burrell, and wife, Janet, of Dalhart; sister, Shirece Burrell, of Lubbock; three step sisters, Alyssa Short, and Alyssen Short, both of Canyon, and April Geistman, of Victoria, TX; step brother, J. W. Geistman, of Victoria, TX; and grandparents, Jerry and Reacie Simpson, of Skellytown, Coy and Shirley Burrell, of Clovis, NM, Loyd and Nell Short, of Canyon, Lin Drennan, of Borger, and Don and Lonna Dorsey, of McLean. The family suggests memorials be to your favorite charity.
