Obituary for THOMAS CLYDE MILLER

Services will be 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 25, 2007 at Brooks Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Don McDonald, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will take place in Wellington, Texas at Fairview Cemetery. Thomas Clyde Miller was born on January 28, 1916 to Nobie and Egbert Miller in Gould, Oklahoma. He is a Veteran of World War II and lifetime member of VFW. Served in combat in WWII as Army infantry through Belgium and Germany and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. Clyde was a printer and lifelong salesman of printing as well as professional musician. He loved playing his trumpet in bands throughout the Panhandle and New Mexico. He played with "Clyde Miller and The Sunshine Valley Boys" in the early "50"s. His hobbies were music, golf, and his family. He is Master Mason of Kiva Temple and past member of the Kiva Shrine Stage Band. Clyde lived in Canyon since 1960. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Orise Miller, and one sister, Edith Brewer. Survivors include his wife Henrietta Stall Miller of the home; two sons, Michael Miller of Canyon and Rick Miller of Dallas; daughter, Melody Dillon of Canyon; two sisters, Maureen May of Clovis, NM and Velma Rose Strong of Deming, NM; brother, Rudolph Miller of Wichita Falls, TX; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
