Obituary for Thomas Lowell Hill
Thomas Lowell Hill, 58, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the Church of Christ at the Colonies with Dick Marcear officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon.
Thomas was born on October 20, 1963 in Canyon to Wilber Lowell and Reva (Clay) Hill. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1983. He received his degree in Range Management from Clarendon College and then received his BSA in Business from WTAMU in 1993.
While he was farming, Thomas met Lisa Sink, who worked at the Farm Service Agency. They fell in love and were married on July 28, 1990 in Canyon. Thomas was a farmer and rancher, and most importantly, he was a loving husband and father. He was a charter member of the Church of Christ at the Colonies.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Lisa Hill; two daughters, Shelby Townsend and husband, Danny and Sara Hill and boyfriend, Chris; his mother, Reva Hill; two sisters, Julia Stewart and husband, Greg and Janet Mercer and husband, Jeff; two grandchildren, Braylee and Jackson Townsend; aunt, Annell Piekienliak and uncle and aunt, Dewaine and Beth Clay; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him very much.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
