Tamson ‘Tam’ Lance, 69, of Grandfalls, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 21 2022. Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Tony Dawdy officiating. Private interment will be in Happy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon.
Tam was born on July 13, 1953 in Amarillo to Rex and Nan (Clark) Yoder. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1971. She married Danny Lance in Amarillo on January 3, 1991.
Tam worked for Santa Fe Railroad for a short time and then owned Mobile Pest Managers for many years. She loved quilting, crocheting, gardening, and was an amazing cook. Her greatest love, however, was her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grandfalls, Tx.
Tam was preceded in death by her parents and an uncle, Bob Fettinger. Survivors include her husband, Danny Lance of Grandfalls; three daughters, Julie Owen and husband, Chris of Allen, TX, Lisa Robards and husband, Larry of Amarillo, and Linsey Tee of Amarillo; nine grandchildren, Rob, Ryan, and Caroline Owen, Lillie and Lauren Robards, Peyton, Hayden, and Kellen Tee, and Triston Lance of Tulia; two sisters, Stephanie Yoder of Amarillo and Leslie Thorne and husband, Donnie of Amarillo; her lifelong friend, Viki Riddle of Logan, NM; and three brothers-in-law, Gary Herring and wife, LaDonna of Amarillo, Richard Barker and wife, Terry of Grandfalls, and John Fox and wife, Phyllis of Amarillo.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Home Hospice, 619 N. Grant Ave., Unit 110, Odessa, TX 79761.
