Obituary for Stewart 'Stu' Jackson

Stewart ‘Stu’ Jackson, 45, of Canyon, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Living Water Christian Fellowship with David Bagwell and Gary Hammond officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Brooks Chapel.

Stu was born on July 20, 1976 in Baltimore, MD to Thomas and Deborah Jackson. He was a Registered Nurse and received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from WTAMU. He married Melanie Morrison in Hereford on November 6, 1999. Stu had a true heart for rescue. He was also a licensed paramedic, certified as a flight nurse, flight paramedic, and medical transport executive, and was a nationally registered paramedic. He was former director of LIFESTAR and Shannon Airmed and was most currently serving as Business Development Manager for LIFESTAR.

Stu was a member of Living Water Christian Fellowship and a past member of Canyon Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed collecting helicopter and airplane replicas. Both of his grandfathers were very influential in his life and he loved spending time with his four daughters and his grandsons. Family time at Ute Lake was a favorite of his as well as fishing with Max and late-night strolls with Silas. He also greatly enjoyed cookouts with his friends.

Stu was preceded in death by his grandparents, Darrell Jackson, Wilma Trellis Jackson, and Frederick Jackson, his uncle James Jackson, and one grandson, Baby E. Survivors include his wife, Melanie Jackson; four daughters, Meghan Neeley and husband, Colby, Allison Jackson, Katelyn Jackson, and Erin Jackson; Parents, Thomas and Deborah Jackson; three grandsons, Maxton and Cohen Neeley and Silas Jackson; grandmother, Elaine Jackson; brother, Chadd Jackson; nieces and nephews Colton, Bladen, and Mallorie-Brooke Jackson; father and mother-in-law, Mike and Evelyn Morrison; brother-in-law, Michael Morrison; honorary daughters, Ava and Audree Gomez and Paitlyn Roach; his present and past LIFESTAR family; and many close friends.
