Obituary for Sterling Wayne Brawner

Sterling was born on July 22, 1941 to Argel Brawner and Opal Davis Brawner in Lea County New Mexico.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 22, 2021 at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon with David Preston, pastor of Paramount Baptist Church, officiating.

Sterling was affiliated with Texas Panhandle Centers in Pampa as well as attending a program in Amarillo before his move to Pampa. He really enjoyed participating in a variety of activities such as doing puzzles, arts/crafts, and playing games with his friends at the Center.

Sterling “loved, loved loved” his parents and his Host Home provider, Jeannie Conner.

Sterling was very expressive and didn’t mind sharing his views with anyone. He was a happy soul and never met a stranger. Sterling was quite a joker, he might very well tell you he forgot how to spell his name, while writing it in front of you. He would then correct himself with a “now Sterling stop that” He was such a pleasure to be around.

Sterling enjoyed watching old movies and listening to Country, oldies and Christian music.
Sterling was a walking testimony and a self-proclaimed Christian. When Sterling wasn’t watching TV he was reading his Bible. Sterling left this world Friday, November 12, 2021 where he is now walking with his, friend Jesus. I can hear Sterling telling his Friend, “I love, love, love you.”

Sterling was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Brawner will not be available for viewing.
