Obituary for Stephen Eugene Brock

Stephen Eugene Brock, 67, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from complications of pancreatic cancer. Private graveside services will be held for the family at Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Brooks Chapel.

Stephen was born to James Dale and Dee Robertson Brock on August 6, 1955 in Canyon, Texas. He married Brenda Jo Davis on May 27, 1977. Stephen was a loving father to his three children, as well as his five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was a lifelong resident of Canyon and was a Baptist.

Stephen had a huge heart for all types of animals and loved being around his family. He was a Cub Scout Leader of Troop31 while his son was in Cub Scouts, and he had three of his original Cub Scouts obtain the rank of Eagle Scout. Stephen assisted all his children with the 4-H Rabbit Club and other activities while they were members. He was also an active member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) for six years while his children were in 4-H.

Stephen worked as a store manager to help support his family at Mr. Burger, Taylor’s Food Mart, Allsup’s, and Fina. He also managed his personal rental properties for the last 40+ years.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, Gary and Bobby Brock, and his only sister, Peggy Sue Brock.

Survivors include his loving wife, Brenda Jo Brock; his children Kimberly Dawn Easley and husband, Justin, Kindra Gayle Brock, and Joshua Monroe Brock and wife, Shannon, all of Canyon; his grandchildren, Kolton Daniel Brock and wife, Victoria of Pampa, Cameron Renee Belter, Teagan Arriane Brock, and Everly Piper Brock, all of Canyon; his granddaughter, Kinsley McKay Belter and his one and only great grandchild, Lola-Chanel McKay Malone, both of Amarillo; three brothers, Keith Brock of Austin, Ronald Brock and wife, Merl, and Terry Brock and wife, Sandy all of Canyon; and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society, 2800 Soncy Rd., Amarillo, Texas 79124.
