Obituary for SHARON LEE BUSHONG

Celebration of life services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Canyon with Rev. John McClean, pastor, and Rev. Donna Johnston, associate pastor, officiating. Sharon Lee Bushong was born April 11, 1939 in Geddes, South Dakota to Lloyd and Eleanor Leach Jenkins. Sharon was a lab technician at the Canyon Clinic for 28 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society, and the Golden Girls. Sharon was also a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she participated in the adult choir and the Crusaders Sunday School Class. She spent time volunteering for BSA, Sky West Assisted Living, the Conner House, Canyon Cares, the Hudson House, and the Palo Duro Retirement Center. Sharon had been a resident of the community for 30 plus years. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include two sons, Brett McGregor and wife, Kay, of Bryce McGregor and wife, Anna, of Lubbock; three grandsons, Jacob McGregor, of Lubbock, Michael McGregor, of Amarillo, Brian Sheriff, of Tempe, AZ; granddaughter, Jordan McGregor, of Lubbock; special friend, A. E. Kenney, of Fritch; and adopted family, Steve and Tracy Johnson, of Canyon. The family suggests that memorials be to the First United Methodist Church of Canyon, 1818 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015.
