Obituary for Sarah Henrietta Salinas
Sarah Henrietta Salinas, 40, of Amarillo, passed away on January 5, 2023. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Power Church in Amarillo with Pastor Manny Delossantos officiating. A memorial will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Sarah was born on May 27, 1982 in Amarillo. She worked as a cashier at HUD’s in Amarillo for numerous years where she made many friends. She loved Christian music, writing poetry, watching horror movies, and dancing. She also enjoyed camping at the Canadian River. Sarah adored her two daughters and family gatherings where she loved spending time with her nieces, nephews, and uncles (especially her Uncle Ben). She was a member of Power Church in Amarillo.
Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margarito and Josie Lucero, her fiancé, Kevin Lasley, three uncles, Eddie, Roger, and Margarito, Jr. Lucero, and a cousin, Shad.
Survivors include her daughters, Penelope (Penny) and Michelle Lasley; her mother and stepfather, Patsy and Eusebio Fuentes, Jr.; eight siblings, Eric and wife, Whitnie, JD and wife, Shawna, Gerald, April and husband, Robert, Priscilla, Kristi and husband, Clay, Tearza and husband, Noah, and Ceaeria; five uncles, Pete Lucero and wife, Mary, Johnny Lucero and wife, Anita, Ben Lucero and wife, Lisa, Lawrence Lucero and wife, Lisa, and Chris Lucero and wife, Paulette; three aunts, Corine and partner, Bev, Connie and husband, Jason, and Melissa and husband, Michael; and many nieces and nephews.
