Obituary for RUBY NEFF

Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 22, 2006 at Brooks Chapel with Bob Shepard, Bible Chair Director, and Alan Neff, officiating. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 22, 2006 at Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2006 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Ruby Neff was born on July 27, 1925 to Oliver and Annie Cummings in Panhandle, Texas. She married Ernie Neff on December 27, 1949 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a longtime resident of Hereford, McAllen, and Canyon, Texas. She was a member of the University Church of Christ. Ruby loved her family, friends and the Lord. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed cooking and had the gift of hospitality. Ruby loved singing and listening to hymns, especially the Gaithers. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Neff of the home; four daughters, Ronda Ross and husband, Jim of California, Peggy Turner of Dallas, Mary Sue Hogue of Amarillo, and Trisha Gleason and husband, Jim of Indiana; son, Clyde Neff and wife, Anita of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Dallas Hogue, Madison Gleason, Sara Gleason, and Alex Neff; two sisters, Lois Lomenick of Hereford and Norma Dement of Amarillo; brother, Floyd Cummings and wife, Wyvonna of Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
