Ruby Lawson

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Happy Cemetery, with Rev. Paul McQuerry, pastor of First Baptist Church of Happy, officiating. Viewing will be at Happy"s Memorial Chapel. Ruby Lee Lawson was born in Happy, Texas on July 24, 1916 to Dick and Eva Caldwell Pugh. On May 19, 1939 she married Leon Lawson in New Mexico. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was a life long resident of Happy, Texas and a member of the First Baptist Church and the Happy Senior Citizens. She worked as a house wife and was known as a loving mother and Nanny. Survivors include a son, Ivon Lawson and wife, Judy, of Happy; grandchildren, Ike and wife, Katie, and Amy and husband, Kevin; and great granddaughters, Sierra, Lynn and Hannah. The family suggests memorials to the Happy Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, PO Box 216, Happy, Texas 79042.
