Obituary for Roosevelt Sullivan

Roosevelt Sullivan, 72, of Canyon passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the University Church of Christ with David Lough, minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Roosevelt Sullivan, the first of eleven children, born to the late Mr. IW Sutherland and Frankie Phillip Sutherland Green. Born on September 21, 1946 as Roshill Sutherland, in Canton, Mississippi. He departed this life on April 1, 2019. Roosevelt confessed his belief in Christ at an early age and was baptized as St. Peter Rock Baptist Church by Rev. LL Laws Pastor. He graduated high school at Shaw Mississippi in 1965. He enlisted into the United States Air force where he met and married the late Lillian Marie Jackson Sullivan in the year of 1966. To this marriage came two sons Pastor Edward Eugene Sullivan and Deshane Phillip Sullivan. Three daughters Tracy Belinda Sullivan Cooper, Regina Ann Sullivan, late Tina Nicole Sullivan Butler. Roosevelt was a devout Christian and leader in the community of Canyon, Texas. He is followed by:     Late Perry Sullivan of Wellington NC     Rev.
