Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Deckard, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Brooks Chapel. Ronald Lynn Davis was born on September 5, 1944 to James Wade and Betty Jo Fergason Davis in Plainview, Texas. Ronald graduated from Hale Center High School in 1963 and received his Master of Science in Agriculture Education and Animal Science from Texas Tech in 1971. He served in the U.S. Navy in San Diego, California and Coronado, California from 1968 until 1970. He was in the U.S. Navy Reserve for 34 years and was ranked as a Commander upon his retirement in 2004. Ronald married Billie Dee White on June 28, 1969 in Artesia, New Mexico. He was an Agriculture Teacher at Canyon High School from 1971 until 1974 and then became a Marketing Manager for the Texas Farm Bureau until 1984. He was also self employed as a farmer/rancher at Happy, Texas for 32 years. Ronald was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Canyon, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Davis in 2006. Survivors include his wife Billie Dee Davis of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Lynn Hukill and husband, Clint of Canyon and Susan Elizabeth Davis of the home; two sons, Wade Allen Davis of Canyon and Michael Scott Davis of Canyon; brother, Don Davis and wife, Lisa of Springfield, Virginia; sister, Marilyn King and husband, Jackie of Hale Center, Texas; and two grandchildren, Colton Davis Hukill and Christian Bradley Hukill.
