Randy Russell Brown, 73, of Canyon, Texas passed away honorably on February 25, 2021. His passing came after a long, hard fought battle with Multiple Myeloma. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Brooks Chapel with Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Brooks Chapel.
Viewing will begin on Monday, March 1, 2021.
Randy was a lifelong resident of Canyon, born August 19, 1947 to Durward A. (Dusty) and Virginia Sue Brown. He graduated from Canyon High School in 1965 and attended West Texas State University in 1970, where he earned his BA in English/History. During his time at WTSU, he was a proud member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. After graduation, he proudly served in Vietnam where he was awarded several medals for his service and bravery, including the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star. After returning, he pursued his creative passion and opened Krazy Kraft Frame and Art in Canyon and had a long and successful art career with his collections being on display around the globe.
Randy’s God given talents, kindness, compassion, and generosity will be missed by his loving family, countless friends and even strangers that met him in passing and heard his wonderful stories. With his creative passion and his hobbies of being a singer/songwriter/author, his gentle spirit reached so many and we are at peace to know ‘The Lord has renewed his strength and he has mounted up with wings of Eagles’ Isaiah 40:31.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Lynn Brown; daughter, Paige Brown Richardson and husband, Tim; grandson, Deklan Richarson; sister, Beverly Bryant and husband, John David; and multiple nieces and nephews.
