Obituary for PETE ARAGON Sr.

Pete Aragon, Sr. 86, of Canyon passed away Monday, April 10, 2017. Vigil will be held at 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, April 12 at Brooks Chapel with Deacon Gabe Rivas, officiating. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 13 in St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Rev. Robert A. Busch, PH.D, as celebrant. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Volleys for Veterans. Pete was born August 1, 1930 in Black, Texas to Daniel and Ignacia Aragon. He married Juanita Flores on September 26, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the Army. Pete owned and operated Aragon Windmill Service for 47 years. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, VFW, and Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and five brothers. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Juanita, of the home; 7 children, Beverly Cerbantez and husband, Alex, Cynthia Rodriguez and husband, Joe, Agnes Aragon, Pete Aragon, Jr., Mary Bowling and husband, David, Joanna Aragon and Samuel Gaitan, and Jerome Aragon and wife, Monica, all of Canyon; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
