Obituary for ORA B. TOMLINSON

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the University Church of Christ with David Lough, minister, and Bob Shepard, Elder and Bible Chair Director, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Ora B. Tomlinson was born on April 3, 1907 to Maud Calloway Golden and Taylor Golden in Boseque County, Texas. She married Floyd Tomlinson on August 18, 1926. They moved west of Canyon in 1926. They were happily married for 63 years, until his death on May 15, 1989. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, four sisters, and an infant great grandchild. Survivors include her sister May Belt and husband JR. of Lockney; a daughter Mary Jo Hales and husband Richmond of Canyon; a daughter Norma Jean Williams and husband Dr. Ken of Abilene; a daughter Nancy Law and husband Bob of Canyon; ten grandchildren; Rick Hales and wife Stephanie of Canyon; Rhonda Weatherly and husband Steve of Amarillo; Rod Hales and wife Jobe of Nazareth; Cherri Goad and husband Dr.Dale of Carrizozo, NM; Mark Williams of Las Vegas, NM; Chris Wilkinson and wife Robin of South Lake; Kim Veasey and husband Gill of Atlanta, GA; Lanny Wilkinson and wife Tracy of Grapevine; Leslie Allen and husband Joe of Katy; Rob Law and wife Gina of Amarillo; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
