Obituary for NOMA CADDELL

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 18, 2008 at Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Jones, pastor of Hollywood Road Community Church and Rev. Troy Richardson, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Caddell will lie in state at Schooler Funeral Home in Amarillo. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Noma Evelyn Caddell was born on March 27, 1915 in Payne County, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Precilla Evans Clifton. She married Lewis Caddell in 1932 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1997. She has lived in Amarillo since 1937. She received her GED when she was 77 years old and was a wonderful seamstress. She was a long time member of Temple Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, A. B., and Dale Clifton, one sister, Pat Wilson, one son, Billy Caddell, and one grandson, Bobby Caddell. Survivors include her daughter, Twanna Powell and husband, Don, of Amarillo; three sons, Bob Caddell and wife, Sue, of Amarillo, Kenneth Caddell and wife, Betty, of Amarillo, and Jim Caddell and wife, Pat, of Lubbock; one brother, Joe Clifton and wife, Betty, of Fowler, CO; nine grandchildren, Matt Powell and wife, Christie, of Lubbock, Mark Powell and wife, Sherry, of Austin, Michelle Gray and husband, Jay, of Amarillo, Melanie Younger and husband, Shannon, of Augusta, GA, Mike Caddell and wife, Tammy, of Lubbock, Jeff Caddell, of Albuquerque, NM, Scott Caddell, of Indiatlantic, Florida, Ginger Caddell, of Amarillo, and Randy Caddell and wife, Susan, of Amarillo; and sixteen great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to the Make -A- Wish Foundation, 411 S. Fillmore, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
