Obituary for NAOMI D. STICKLER

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Freedom Fellowship Church with Roman Asbill, pastor, and Darren Dye, pastor, officiating. Naomi D. Stickler was born on August 30, 1923 in DeNoya, OK to the late Herbert Floyd and Ala Jane Smith. She grew up in Panhandle, Texas and graduated from Panhandle High School. She attended Draughn"s Business School in Amarillo, Texas. Naomi worked at Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, California during WWII. Naomi was a long time resident of Albuquerque, but she has been living in Canyon the past few years. She loved life and people. She was a good friend to all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker; before her illness she was active in her church, Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church, and a member of ALAnon for over 27 years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Naomi married Paul A. Stickler on December 31, 1969. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul; and two brothers Choc and Ed Smith. Survivors include her two daughters, Karen Rogers, of Albuquerque, NM, Debi Marriott and husband, Carroll, of Canyon; seven stepchildren, Chris Stickler and wife, Irene, of Orlando, FL, Tim Stickler, of Tucson, AZ, Mike Stickler and wife, Brenda, of Albuquerque, NM, Kathy Ward and husband, Dave, of Rockford, IL, Terri Trosclair and husband, Wade, of Garyville, LA, Dan Stickler, of Puyallup, WA, Sheila Kilgore, of Orlando, FL; foster daughter, Kathy Manygoats-Bartel and husband, Bob, of Albuquerque, NM; twenty grandchildren; and twenty five great grandchildren.
