Mildred M. Palmentera, 91, peacefully passed away on August 10, 2018.   She was born in Larksville, PA on December 18, 1926 to Edward and Adela Missal.  She will forever be remembered for her quick-wit and caring nature. As a mother of 7, Mildred treasured time with family and friends, creating lifelong memories.  A talented and skillful seamstress, she worked for multiple high-end department stores before attending Amarillo College to earn her LVN degree.  Upon retirement, Mildred acquired a sense of adventure and independence as she traveled throughout the Continental United States and Canada, falling in love with Alaska. Mildred was welcomed into heaven by two children, Rita Harmon and Mike Palmentera, as well as her parents and siblings who preceded her in passing.  Mildred is lovingly survived by her children, Ann Gann, Marty Harston, Judy Schnatz, Pamela Palmentera-Reid, and Paula Palmentera-Cassidy and their spouses as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.  Mildred's family will honor her in a private Family Rosary on Thursday, October 25, 2018. The Memorial Service and Mass will be held at 2:00 in the afternoon on Friday, October 26, 2018 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 605 38th Street, Canyon, TX.  The family welcomes those who knew Mildred to a gathering in celebration of her life following the Memorial Service and Mass at at 3:30 in the afternoon on Friday, October 26, 2018.  The celebration of Mildred Palmentera's life will be located at the Cole Community Center, 300 16th Street, Canyon, TX. Memorial donations in memory of Mildred can be made to Martha's Circle of St. Ann's Catholic Church (605 38th Street, Canyon, TX).
