Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, March 5, 2004 at First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Larry Ellis, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at Brooks Chapel. He will be buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Michael Perez was born on August 17, 1969, to Jimmy and Maria Perez in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in Post and Cuero, Texas. He graduated from Strohman High School in 1992 and attended Sam Houston Junior College. He moved to Canyon in 1992, where he was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. He married Annette Aschenbeck on June 21, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Annette Perez, of Canyon; his parents, Jimmy and Maria Perez, of Canyon; one brother, Jalem Perez, of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Lisa Guthrie, of Dallas, Texas, and Diamond Nava, of Garland, Texas; two grandmothers, Grace Perez, of Canyon, and Francisca DeLeon, of Wichita Falls, Texas.
