Obituary for MERLIN CALLOWAY

Services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 1, 2004 at the University Church of Christ with Brent Adams, David Lough, and Bob Shepard, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Merlin Calloway was born on February 24,1918 in White Oak, Texas to Roy and Fannie Lee Callaway. He married Mary Beth Trussell on November 4, 1937 in Clovis, NM. All of his life he was a hard working and dedicated family man. At the time of his death, he was a member of the University Church of Christ. During the 37 years he was employed by Pioneer Natural Gas, he worked at various plant facilities from Sonora to Fritch, and was superintendent for various operations during the last thirty years of his employment. He was preceded in death by one step brother, Charles Zeigler. Survivors include his wife, Mary Beth, of the home; one daughter, Marilyn Trader, and husband, Gene, of Amarillo; one son, Weldon Calloway, of Livingston Manor, NY; three sisters, Ollie, Nelwyn, and Charlotte; one half-brother, Billy Ray Calloway, of Gladewater, TX; two grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to your favorite charity.
