She especially loved gardening, and time with her dog, Corky, in their small ranchette nestled in the mountains of southern Oregon. She also loved to cook with her signature dishes being rhubarb crisp and poppy strudel.  In December 2014, the couple moved to Canyon, TX, to live closer to their eldest daughter, Patricia, and her family. After living in South Dakota, California, and Oregon, her final resting place would be in Canyon, TX.  She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church  in Canyon, the church of which was just a few blocks from her Conner Drive home. Survivors include her husband Robert; son Dominic,  Washougal, WA; daughter Marci (and Todd) Fogel, Evergreen, CO; four grandchildren (Brandy Lyles, Andrea Sholder, Joel and Jason Sherman); and three great grandchildren; siblings Sister Marion (Order of St. Benedict), Barbara, Tony, and Donald. Also, many nephews, nieces and friends.
