Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 13, 2008 at the University Church of Christ with Bob Shepard, Elder and Bible Chair Director, and David Lough, minister, officiating. Interment is in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. Mary Beth Calloway was born May 21, 1920 in Witchita Falls, Texas to Hugh and Modena Cooper Trussell. On November 4, 1937 she married Merlin Calloway. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2004. Mary Beth moved to Canyon in 1972 from Fritch, Texas. She was a member of the Clock Collectors of America, Mothers-In-Law Club, the University Church of Christ, and a charter member of the Precious Moments Collectors Club. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters. The family wishes to thank the women at the Care Cottage for how they lovingly took care of Mary Beth. Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Trader, of Amarillo; son, Weldon Calloway, of Livingston Manor, NY; two grandchildren, Mike Trader and wife, Amy, of Southlake, TX, Kay Stacy and husband, David, of Amarillo; and six great grandchildren, Chandler, Cole, and Cameron Trader, and Addison, Emeree, and Kenadie Stacy. The family suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
