Obituary for MARTHA LOUISE SHARP BOYCE

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 27 at Brooks Chapel with David Dye, officiating. Private interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Brooks Chapel. Martha Louise Sharp Boyce was born December 27, 1928 in Lark, Texas to Claud and Maud Sharp. Martha married Cotton Boyce on October 19, 1946 in Canyon, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Martha was active in the Boys & Girls Scouts, all sports from 1st to 12th grades, as well as being the PTA President while her kids were in school. She was the best mother, a great cook, and an excellent seamstress. She was also very loving and dedicated to all her family, and we would like to thank the many who loved and cared for her. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Bonnie Weatherly, Beryl Darby, and Ruth Rogers. Survivors include her husband, Cotton, of the home; a son, Steve Boyce and wife, Tracy, of Cimarron, New Mexico; two daughters, Beverly Boyce Grimes, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Tammy Curry and husband, Anthony, of Keller, Texas; two sisters, Gaynell Grissom, of Keller, Texas and Claudette Love, of Canyon, Texas; six grandchildren, Jeff Boyce, Jason Boyce, Amy Pruitt, Aaron Miller, Micah Miller, and Cali Beth Curry; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
