Obituary for Marlene Howell
Marlene Howell, 80, of Canyon, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. Billy D. Nickell, pastor of First Family Church in Amarillo, officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Brooks Chapel.
Marlene was born on November 25, 1940 to R.L. and Evelynn Hargrave Smith in Hollis, Oklahoma. She married Perry Howell on June 9, 1956 in Lubbock, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2019. Marlene lived in the Canyon community for 20 years. She was a realtor with ADA Realtors and was the owner and operator of Molly’s Antiques and Collectibles on Sixth Street in Amarillo.
She was a member of Four Square Church in Amarillo for 15 years.
She enjoyed doing acrylic artwork. She loved fishing, playing piano and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronny Howell in 2007 and her brother, Johnny Smith in 1981.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Howell and wife Kryn of Durango, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Kim Howell of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be made to your favorite charity.
