Marilyn Payne, 80, of Canyon, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Marilyn was born on June 30, 1940 in Mayville, North Dakota to Clayton and Doris (Nelson) Severson. She was a graduate of Albany High School. She married Alvin Dean Payne in 1956, and he preceded her in death. Marilyn expressed her creativity through cake decorating and painting. She later took up photography and took baby photos at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital for 18 years. She was also a hypnotherapist for many years.

Marilyn was very strong-willed but was also lovingly known for her giving and compassionate spirit. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was dearly loved by many. Through the years Marilyn was an amazing mother to many, not only to her children, but to her sister and others she mentored and cared for. She enjoyed Word Search puzzles and her greatest love was for her most precious babies, her cats, Boo and Biggin.
Survivors include her daughters, Cher Blamey and Evy Ince and husband, Randy; her sister, Marsha Harris; four grandchildren, James Luzano, Alexxus Thompson and husband, Tairen, Tyler Blamey, and Rebecca Boston and husband, T.J.; and four great grandchildren.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4
