Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2005 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Clark Williams, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Lodena Virginia "Tooley" Cone was born April 13, 1923 to Oscar W. and Mattie Sellers Tooley in Tolbert, Texas. She was raised in Tolbert and graduated from Vernon High School. She married Garl W. "Todd" Cone in Solomons, Maryland in 1944. He preceded her in death in 1991. She received her BS in Education from West Texas State Teachers College. She received her Masters degree in Library/Sciences from the Texas Womens University in Denton, TX. She was employed by Borger Independent School District as a teacher and librarian. She was a member of the Faith Covenant Church of Borger. She was also a member of Friends of the Library, Texas State Teacher"s Association, CHI OMEGA Soroity and the Texas Association of Librarians. Survivors include two sons, Stan Cone, and wife Sally, of Sugar Land, TX, and Steve Cone, of Borger, TX; one daughter, Cindy Pavillard, and husband, Dan, of Amarillo; one brother, Kenneth Tooley, and wife, Doris, of Austin, TX; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Russell, Scott, and Court Pavillard, Trevor and Sean Cone, and Erin Hemelstrand; and one great grandson, Dillon Cone. The family suggests memorials be to your favorite charity.
