Linda Bloodworth, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Memorial services will be 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Church of Christ in Happy with Steve and Rick Bloodworth, officiating. Linda was born on November 24, 1936 to James and Bess Hudson Alls in Plainview. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1955 and attended Texas Tech College. On November 3, 1956 she married Ed Bloodworth in Lubbock. After marriage, Ed’s work took them to many places including Denver, Seattle, Houston and Casper areas. They finally retired in Colorado City. Linda was a longtime member of the Broadway and Sunset Churches of Christ in Lubbock, the Southwest Church of Christ in Pueblo and the Church of Christ in Happy. Linda was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She also spent many years serving as a Cub Scout Den Mother and a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed attending all her Lubbock High Class Reunions. She was a loving mother who was very active in her children’s lives. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 61 years, Ed. She is survived by her two sons, Steve Bloodworth of Vancouver, WA, Rick Bloodworth and wife Carolyn of Happy; daughter, Nancy Schmelzer and husband Kurt of Pueblo, CO; brother, Richard Alls and wife Nancy of Onalaska, TX; three grandchildren, AJ Bloodworth, Cherise Bloodworth, and Rebecca Duncan; three great-grandchildren; numerous cousins including one special cousin, Lynn Herrin, who she grew up with; another special cousin, Shirley Drum; and many nieces and nephews.
