Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church of Canyon with Pastor Curtis House, minister of Harvest Christian Fellowship of Amarillo, officiating. Private Interment will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Lillis was born April 28, 1928, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Thelma Ziegler White and Richard I. White, Jr., and graduated from Arlington Heights High School. She attended Gulf Park College and the University of Texas. Lillis married the love of her life, Dr. Dudley Moore, Jr., on April 20, 1963. They raised their combined family of eight children in Canyon and were married for 44 years. Lillis was a member of First United Methodist Church of Canyon since 1963. She volunteered many years for Meals on Wheels, played in several bridge clubs, was a member of Junior League of Amarillo, and the Randall County Medical Auxiliary. Lillis loved her family, her church, and her Lord. She was a true lady and gracious hostess. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Survivors include her children, Skip Moore and wife Jamie of Canyon, Joe Moore and wife Dema of Waco, Bea Clark and husband Wink of Canyon, Richard Thompson and wife Angel of Rockwall, Gary Moore and wife Paula of Amarillo, Bill Moore and wife Elaine of Sugarland, Anna Bland Aston and husband Scott of Dallas, and Eloise Kissner and husband Steven of Carrollton. Grandchildren are Tyler Moore, Dannielle Lynn, Chrisa Oakley, Brooke Hancock, Jody Moore, Julibeth Moore, Allison House, Eloise Bell, Angela Chadwick, Paige Thompson, Gary Paul Moore, Trudy Keeling, Shawn McLeod, Joshua McLeod, Will Moore, Annalee Aston, Mary Kate Aston, Leah Hammett, and 29 great-grandchildren.
