Obituary for LEN R. McKAY

Graveside services will be at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Dreamland Cemetery with Howard Morris and Alvin Howard officiating. Len R. McKay was born on September 22, 1934 in Randall County to Radford O. and Buenta G. Bouldin McKay. He was a graduate of West Texas State University and worked in the maintenance department at WT. He was also a locksmith. He married Ceola Flowers on October 8, 1964 in Amarillo. He loved farming, cattle, his beloved grandson, Grant, and his faithful friend and family pet, Digger. He was a fifty year member of the Canyon City Masonic Lodge #730 and a veteran of the National Guard. Len was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Ceola McKay, of the home; one daughter, Trella McKay Glear and husband, Ted, of Canyon; one grandson, Grant Bergenstein, of Canyon; a brother, Robert R. McKay, of Pennsylvania; a sister, Mary Lawson, of Austin; one niece and four nephews.
