Obituary for LEEORA WARREN

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Brooks Chapel, with Preacher, John Shattuck, officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Leeora was born June 6, 1927 in Wakita, Oklahoma to Joel Bertrana & Eudora May (Long) Sutton. She married Jack Warren April 7,1951 in Carlsbad, NM. She was a member of Arnett Christian Church and an associate member of Cowboy Church & Arena of Life. Leeora graduated high school in Arnett, Ok and Amarillo College through St. Anthony"s School of Nursing in 1948. She served in active nursing with St. Anthony"s hospital for 14 years, doctor"s offices, and retired after 28 years from Palo Duro Hospital in Canyon. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and four brothers, son-in-law, Mike Mowry in 1986, son, Douglas Warren, in 1991, and her husband, Jack, in 2001. Survivors include one sister, Opal Frieda, of Alabama; four daughters, Jo Beth Mathews (Sissy) & husband, Ronnie, of Amarillo, Joyce Smith (Peanut) and husband, Gary, Linda Mowry (Fizzle), and Beverly King (Buttons) and husband, Kent, all of Canyon; four special grandsons, Bret Mowry and wife, Beth, Jay Mowry and wife, Sandra, Donnie Smith, and Jack King; three priceless granddaughters, Heather Von, Jennifer Trook and husband, Rob, and Niccol Vinyard and husband, Landon; seven loveable great granddaughters, Jada, Jensen, Ansley, Brie, Brin, Kadenze, and Kember; one great grandson, Gibson; special friends, Sandra Price, Kim Heathington, and Marilyn Schrib, who were always near; two very special sisters-in-law, Yvonne Bittick and Helen Warren; and many nieces and nephews.
