Obituary for Kathy Barringer
Kathy Barringer, 72, of Canyon, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church with David Crump, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. Kathy’s wishes were for everyone to wear a t-shirt and jeans to her service. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors.
Kathy was born April 4, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to Billy and Carolyn (Thornton) Watson. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Kathy served the Canyon community for many years as a nurse at Palo Duro Hospital until her retirement in 1999 due to illness. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Coffee Break Bible Study.
She fought many battles in her life and loved and trusted her Savior through each of them. She was a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, mother, and KK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Carolyn Watson.
Survivors include her children, Wendy Shebelbon and husband, Emil of Conroe, Bailey Barringer of Firestone, Colorado, Taylor Barringer of Clyde; grandchildren, McKenna Kidd, Mason Kidd and wife, Maegan, Joseph Shebelbon, all of Conroe, Joshua and William Shebelbon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and her brother, William Watson and wife, Rebecca of Corpus Christi.
The family suggests memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 800 8th Street, Canyon, TX 79015.
