Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 31 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Manish Shirley, associate pastor, and Rev. Donna Johnston, retired pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31 at Fairmont Cemetery in Hollis, Oklahoma. Karleen J. Moore was born November 4, 1920 to Albert McAlister and Claudia McLemore McAlister in Milan, Tennessee. She married Lee Moore on September 21, 1945 in Temple, Texas. After graduating from a high school in Guthrie, Kentucky she continued her education at Oklahoma State University, where she received her Bachelor"s Degree in Education in 1951. Karleen then did her undergraduate studies at West Texas A&M University, where she received her Master"s Degree in Home Economics in 1972. Karleen taught Home Economics in Elwood, Nebraska and also in Happy and Hereford, Texas schools. She was a member of the County Extension Department, Delta Kappa Gamma, the First United Methodist Church of Canyon, and the Singles Club of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998. Survivors include her son, David Moore, of Canyon; and a sister, Sue McAlister, of Canyon. The family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1818 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015.
